Finding faith amidst the storm
My journey as a Christian has been deeply intertwined with struggles of faith, often compounded by the challenges of mental illness. I've frequently felt isolated, watching friends without mental illnesses seem to connect with God effortlessly, while I grappled with profound difficulties. This blog, Walzer—Waltzing through Life, One Day at a Time, is my attempt to turn these trials into content that offers hope to others.
My story: a journey of faith and resilience
Welcome to "My Story," a deeply personal account of navigating faith amidst the complexities of mental illness. Here, you'll find reflections on struggles, doubts, and the enduring search for connection. It's a space where shared experiences illuminate the path forward, reminding us that no one walks this journey alone.

You are not alone in your struggle
My primary hope is for you to know that you are not alone. The isolation I’ve felt in my Christian walk is a feeling I wish to alleviate for others. While I don't claim to have all the answers—I have many questions, doubts about God's goodness, and moments where the Gospel feels distant—I believe sharing these experiences is crucial, for both myself and for fellow pilgrims navigating similar paths.

Turning trials into triumphs
As a writer who hasn't written much recently, I decided to channel my experiences with mental illness and faith into this blog. My deepest desire is that my story will resonate with other Christians facing mental illnesses, showing them that there's someone out there who truly understands their struggles. It’s about building a community where empathy and understanding flourish.
"Finding this blog made me feel seen and understood. It's comforting to know I'm not alone in my faith journey with mental illness."
